Looking for 4 new owners to join us for our 40th season.

Join us for our landmark 40th season!

The National Fastbreak Association (known as the NFBA) is one of the country's oldest Strat leagues and currently has openings for owners looking to join. The NFBA has been around continuously since 1977 and has a solid group of owners, many of whom have been in the league for a decade (or two! or three!  Maybe going on four!).

Recently, we've had a few openings and we're looking to fill a few of our 24 teams for an upcoming dispersal draft.

New owners will select their own teams from a deep pool of players in the upcoming dispersal draft - all of the players and draft picks from the open teams were put into a draft pool and new owners are selecting their team from among those players. There are some great players that will be available, including Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, Kemba Walker, Greg Monroe, Steven Adams, Gordon Hayward, Victor Olapido and Nic Batum, along with high picks (including four lottery picks, as high as #3 and #5) in the upcoming rookie/free agent draft. If you join up soon, you'll be able to participate in the dispersal draft and then in the full-league rookie/free agent draft. We’ll plan to start the dispersal draft as soon as we fill the open teams, with the rookie/free agent draft starting once information about the new cards become available and the season starting shortly thereafter (likely early November).

The league runs a 56 game schedule (28 home games) and has a set of house rules aimed at producing fun, realistic results without permitting "Stratball" gaming. The 2015-2016 NFBA season was a great one, with some of the best playoff matchups seen in years and a first-time champion named as Steph Curry led his team to the promised land.

If you have any questions, drop me or the commish, Harley Rollins (harleycrollins@hotmail.com) a message. We're looking forward to an exciting NFBA season based on what was a great NBA season, and we'd love to have you join us.
